Tribute to a fallen hero: Lt. Michael P. Murphy, USN SEAL

Finally finished my custom figure of Lt. Michael Murphy.
My day job sidelined me for a while and only had time to finish it yesterday.
I am really happy with the outcome of this project and I do hope that you all liked it.
Please enjoy the pictures below.

Cheers!

USN SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy headsculpt (work in progress)

Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy
United States Navy (SEAL)

May 7, 1976 - June 28, 2005

My tribute to one of the fallen heroes of Operation Redwing, USN SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy.
My first time sculpting portrait in 1:6th scale and believe me, it was really difficult working on the small details. But I really enjoyed it a lot and looking forward to finishing this project

If you haven't read Seal of Honor I highly recommend that book. Written by Gary Williams about the story of Lieutenant Murphy's, life a Medal of Honor recipient. Please enjoy the pictures below and thank you for visiting. I really appreciate the comments.

NSW DevGru, Operation Neptune's Spear

This project took me almost a month to complete and I know that some of the best kitbashers already created their version way ahead and gave justice to the subject and I'm hoping that my take is not a disappointment.

Please enjoy the pictures below!

Cheers!

SEALs in Ramadi, Iraq

This is my latest project. Inspired by the US Navy SEALs wearing PCU in Ramadi, Iraq. Also added some flavor to my bash with this wall diorama that I made particularly for this project. I used styrofoam, water based putty, acrylic paints, some sand (I mixed them with the putty to simulate the sandy floor). Forgot to document the process but I will take some step by step pics on my next diorama and share them here. Enjoy the pictures and thank you for visiting!

Cheers!

SEAL in Hindu-Kush Mountain

Inspired by the book Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell  about the fallen heroes of SEAL Team 10. I combined desert tri-color and woodland BDU for this bash because Marcus mentioned in the book the he was wearing desert bottoms and woodland top. I am not aiming for accuracy here so I used M4 instead of Mk12 sniper rifle (which he was carrying during Operation Redwing).

My first try adding beard to a headscuplt and I hope you'll like the result. I used Playhouse SEAL Team 10 HS, Hot Toys advance TrueType body (TTM16) with a little modification to the neck part, Hot Toys woodland top /  armor vest / bendy hands with SS gloves, PH desert bottom / 3 color backpack, Soldier Story MICH 2000 helmet / ASOLO boots / Rifle (modified) / LBT1961a chest rig / padded duty belt / headset and Sig P226 pistol.

Thanks for visiting!

Cheers!
